Our life is nothing short of an adventure...

Wind in our hair and screams of delight but also unpredictable turns and unknown outcomes. We are a family of six; Dave, Susie, Nate, Jake, Sam, and Bella.

God has been faithful in our marriage and through the birth and blessings of our boys.

God has been faithful during our adoption journey and united Bella with us in May of 2008. We were privileged to visit with Bella's birth mother; therefore, Bella's family in Guatemala will always be dear to our hearts.

On October 16, 2008, Bella was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia. We are now battling the disease with 2 years and 3 months of treatment. We believe God will continue to be faithful!

Our family is committed to living life to the fullest...even on the hard days. Thank you for checking in and journeying with us!

Can you Guess?

For all those following my blog since last year....can you guess what tomorrow is? Yes....tomorrow is clinic day for Bella, she has a physical, bone marrow aspiration (spinal tap) chemo, and we have our consultation regarding maintenance, but there is something even more important to celebrate tomorrow, leave me a post and tell me what you think it is?

I was hoping to upload a few pics of Bella with her boys and new toys, but my son downloaded them and now we cant find them. So tomorrow I will post pics. :)

Blessings,

Dave and Susie,
I stumbled onto your blog thru serious life magazine. Maybe there is a reason I could not sleep and got up to check emails. We too have a youngest daughter thru adoption. We will be praying for you all and especially Bella today as she begins treatment. Dave and Susie have you ever heard of Reliv nutrition? Please take a chance and look into it. This potent nutrition has been a gift from the Lord for our family and some serious health issues. I know it could help Bella be stronger thru her treatments. They have a website, Reliv.com You are in our prayers, The Johnsons

FOREVER FAMILY DAY!!!

Praying the appointment goes well and I can't wait to hear the news!

I know for a fact that it is your gotcha day, as it is ours as well! However you got to go home, and we continued on for another 7 weeks in Guatemala! We just missed eachother, and had I met you before I probably would have had the nerve to hunt you down so we could celebrate together! What a blessing that day was, I will never forget!

Oh, and I meant to say...HAPPY GOTCHA DAY, CONGRATULATIONS ON ONE YEAR TOGETHER!! As I am thinking about it, she has been with you LONGER than she was without you!! YAY!!

must be "gotcha day." I don't think you came home until May, though, so it must be the day she was placed in your arms forever!

It's Gotcha-Family Day! Ours is the next day. It wouldn't have been if you had pm'd me insisting that I email the embassy to find out where our pink was! You were such a help to us, truly your email launched me into action and if I hadn't emailed the embassy 100 times we would have missed our son's first birthday.

I check on Bella regularly and she's in our prayers.

Enjoy this special day!

I'm fairly sure you said your forever family day was May 3rd? I remember cause I was thinking "oh that's two days after my wedding anniversary." So if it's not your forever family day, then I'm going with a few others and saying it must be your gotcha day!

Congratulations!

You are truly blessed with a beautiful family!
