Our life is nothing short of an adventure...

Wind in our hair and screams of delight but also unpredictable turns and unknown outcomes. We are a family of six; Dave, Susie, Nate, Jake, Sam, and Bella.

God has been faithful in our marriage and through the birth and blessings of our boys.

God has been faithful during our adoption journey and united Bella with us in May of 2008. We were privileged to visit with Bella's birth mother; therefore, Bella's family in Guatemala will always be dear to our hearts.

On October 16, 2008, Bella was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia. We are now battling the disease with 2 years and 3 months of treatment. We believe God will continue to be faithful!

Our family is committed to living life to the fullest...even on the hard days. Thank you for checking in and journeying with us!

Its ABSOLUTELY POSITVELY ................

Three Boys and a Princess

Going to be a WHITE Christmas! It's beautiful outside, come March 1st, I struggle with that comment, but today, its a marshmallow world here in Michigan. We received almost a foot of snow from 6 am this morning till about noon today. We already had about 6" on the ground. The boys last day of school before Christmas break turned in to a snow day, so we took Bella out to play. She really likes the snow, its the wind she does not care for. It's quit entertaining to me that this sweet daughter of mine was born in the country of "eternal spring", and here she is in snow that is over her head. It's expected to continue all the way through Christmas Day with a few breaks. Being that we are on the west side of the state, we experience lake effect snow showers.

Above are pictures from our adventure outdoors today.

Thank you Lord that we live in a state the experiences all 4 seasons....your art work is amazing!

Precious pictures. So glad Bella gets to play in the snow. It's 65 degrees right now in Louisville...unseasonably warm. I don't think we're having a white Christmas this year. But my kitchen window is open, which isn't all bad!

Blessings and prayers your way!

I love the stark contrast of the boys and Bella in the snow, next to the boys and Bella in the summer at the cottage(picture in your sidebar). I even think the boys are in the same order. So cute! You all are making so many wonderful family memories!

Have a beautiful, WHITE Christmas,
Stacy

Awwww, I'm a little jealous. We were supposed to have a white Christmas, but it's just going to be a "wet" Christmas now. The snow is going north of us and we're just going to get rain. Maybe next year. The kids all look so happy in the pics.
Have a very Merry Christmas and I continue to pray for Gods continued healing power over Bella.

Merry Christmas Ferrick family! Susie, I pray that all is well at your house tonight and over the break. I pray, too, that Bella has a big smile on her face tomorrow and enjoys the birthday party.
Love,
